Visiting hours are from 11 am until 8 pm, except in the ICU where the visiting hours are from 9 am until 6:30 pm. Visitation in the ICU is based on the patient’s condition and is at the discretion of the nurse caring for the patient.
The main entrance to the hospital will be locked at 9:15 pm
Entrance and exit after 9:15 pm is through the Emergency Department.
We are committed to keeping families together and encourage visits for support and emotional recovery. To provide a therapeutic and restful environment, we recommend no more than two visitors at a time. Visitors may stop at the front desk to ask for information or to obtain a patient’s room number. Children must be escorted by an adult at all times. Children 12 years and older are permitted in the ICU.
When visiting the ICU, please call prior to entering the unit. Phones are conveniently located outside the ICU doors and in the ICU visitor’s waiting room. The phones outside the ICU ring directly to the nurse’s station in the ICU. This will allow the nurse to prepare for you visit, as well as protect the privacy of all patients.
In the critical care setting, there will always be exceptions. Exceptions to these guidelines will be considered by the nurse and carried out with the patient’s best interest at heart.
Each patient (or support person, where appropriate) will have the right to decide if he/she wants to receive visitors, designate visitors, including, but not limited to, a spouse, a domestic partner (including same sex partner), another family member, or a friend, and has the right to withdraw or deny consent for any visitor at any time.
The hospital shall not restrict, limit, or otherwise deny visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.
