ORANGE CITY – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial’s Wellness Center has received the American Association of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) recertification for their Pulmonary Rehab Program. This recertification is valid for another three years.
“By earning this recertification, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial has demonstrated that our Wellness Center meets the strict national standards of practice by the AACVPR,” said Laura Anne Roemmelt, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Wellness Center Coordinator. “It is not an easy process, but it is very gratifying to be awarded once again.”
The recertification process includes completing a lengthy application process, including various data regarding the Wellness Center’s standards of care, outcomes, emergency procedures, and more. A panel reviews all of the data before recertification can be awarded.
Florida Hospital Fish Memorial’s Wellness Center offers a host of programs including Inpatient Education Phase I, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Phase II and Maintenance Phase III. The center also provides diabetes exercise programs, smoking cessation, community wellness speaking engagements and health fair presentations.
