ORANGE CITY, Fla., February 3, 2014 – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial announced that Jane Massaro has been selected to serve as the hospital’s Director of Pharmacy. In this role, Massaro will be responsible for the daily operations and overall management of the department.
She has more than 25 years of experience in pharmacy leadership and has a proven track record in cultivating teamwork and developing processes to improve patient safety and elevating patient experience. She most recently served as the Director of Pharmaceutical Services at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Fla., where she managed of all aspects of pharmacy services. Additionally, she was responsible for overseeing the renovation of the department, as well as the launches of multiple services, including opening a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), an outpatient surgical center, a cardiac catheterization lab and stroke center. In her role, she also oversaw the expansion of the hospital’s emergency department and assisted in planning the construction of an 80-bed-tower which included a 797 compliant Pharmacy.
Massaro, Lake Mary resident, earned a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Union University, Albany College of Pharmacy in N.Y.
