Goal = 7,500 Pounds of Food to Needy

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center & Florida Hospital Oceanside Food Drives Aim To Collect More Than 7,500 Pounds For Local Charities

What:               Team members from FHMMC, Florida Hospital Oceanside and the Daytona Beach Fire Department are holding food drives throughout all hospital facilities and fire stations to replenish local food bank pantries.

When:              9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4 – Delivery of food from Daytona Beach Fire Department

 

                        11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5 – Weighing of food

Why:                With stories daily about job losses and depleted shelves in local food pantries, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Florida Hospital Oceanside and the Daytona Beach Fire Department are working together to make a difference in our community. During the holiday season and throughout the year, hospital team members collect food for local food pantries, hold clothing and toiletry drives and feed the homeless at local shelters.

 

This year our community charities are in desperate need,” said Farzad Nourian, chaplain with Florida Hospital. “We have the ability to make a change in our community and help fight hunger.”
