Florida Hospital Promotes Patient Access Director

DELAND, Fla., November 20, 2013 – Amy Bennett, Florida Hospital DeLand’s Director of Patient Access, has been promoted to serve as director for both the DeLand facility and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City.

In this role, Bennett will be responsible for patient scheduling and registration for both hospitals.

“Amy has done an amazing job with her team at Florida Hospital DeLand, assisting patients with their financial needs and showing significant improvements in important corporate goals and initiatives,” said Nigel Hinds, Florida Hospital DeLand Chief Financial Officer. “She has proven herself to be a strong leader and great team player who is a wonderful representative of our mission.”

Bennett joined Florida Hospital DeLand in 2012 and has more than 10 years of health care experience. She previously served as Manager of Patient Access for Winter Park Memorial Hospital, a division of Florida Hospital. She was responsible for training, developing, and motivating registration representatives to ensure patients received preeminent care in line with Florida Hospital’s mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ. 

Bennett, an Apopka resident, earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences, as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Webster University.
