ORANGE CITY, FL—June 3, 2011 – Danielle Johnson has been announced as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Florida Hospital Fish Memorial and will begin on June 13.
Johnson has served as the Assistant Vice President for Cardiovascular Services at Florida Hospital in Orlando since 2000. She has provided leadership and operational guidance over the 276 beds, Perfusion Services, Cardiac Cath labs, Echo, ECG, Stress, EPS, CV Registry, Outpatient Heart Failure Clinic, and a comprehensive Cardiac Research Division which makes up the Cardiovascular services at Florida Hospital. Patient satisfaction scores in her areas of responsibility have consistently achieved the 80th percentile for “Willingness to Recommend.” Patient Safety has also been a special focus for Johnson and she has been successful in implementing Code STEMI processes and readmission reduction strategies, which have helped improve the lives of congestive heart failure patients in the community.
Johnson’s background is grounded in clinical education and experience. She is a licensed RN and has worked as an ICU staff nurse, recovery staff nurse, as well as a rounding nurse for a pulmonary group. She has coordinated the TransLife Organ, Tissue and Transplant Services, managed the Quality Assessment Department and is a published author.
