Approximately 800 Attend “Harvest of Music” Concert, Featuring Christian Artist Steve Green
DELAND – On Friday, November 16, approximately 800 people joined Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial for the ninth annual “Harvest of Music” program which featured Christian artist Steve Green at First Assembly DeLand, 551 S. Kepler Road. This was the largest audience the free program has ever received.
The son of missionary parents, Green celebrates 27 years in the Christian music industry. During this time, he has been honored with four Grammy nominations, 13 No. 1 songs, and seven Dove Awards, Christian music’s highest honor. With 33 recordings to his credit, including children’s projects and Spanish-language albums, Green has sold over three million albums worldwide.
“We are all so blessed in many ways and God deserves our thanks and praise,” said Diane Maimone, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. “Our faith community is so supportive and we do this as a thank you gift to all of those supporters.”
Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial are part of the Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler nonprofit hospital system and this program serves as another example of their mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ. In 2011, Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler collectively contributed more than $96 million in benefits to the underprivileged, the community’s overall health and wellness and spiritual needs, and capital improvements.
